Even though the weather is improving this weekend, I’m still excited to curl up by the fire with this sweet coming-of-age LGBTQ+ novel that will carry me from Toronto to Whistler, 𝐒𝐄𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐓 by 𝐉𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐲𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐨𝐫.⁣
⁣⁣⁣
𝕊𝕐ℕ𝕆ℙ𝕊𝕀𝕊:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
  ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
For fans of Alison Cochrun and Abby Jimenez, a heartfelt and sexy romantic comedy following one bi woman’s messy journey through coming out—and reluctantly falling for a straight man. From the USA TODAY bestselling author of Wicked Darlings.⁣
⁣
Girl comes out as bi. Girl falls for a straight guy.⁣
⁣
Simone Whittaker has spent the first three decades of her life pretending to be straight. But when the girl she never dared call her girlfriend walks away, she decides she’s done living in fear. Her uptight parents don’t take the news well, but a viral coming-out post and a new job at Toronto’s Rainbow Museum offer a fresh start—and a crash course in queer adulthood.⁣
⁣
That is, until her first day of work, when Simone ruins a project designed by Ryan Foley—the museum’s gruff and annoyingly hot carpenter—earning her the top spot on his enemies list. When they’re forced to take a work trip to the Whistler Pride and Ski Festival together, Simone vows not to let a grumpy straight guy ruin her first Pride. But Ryan keeps surprising her—thoughtful, vulnerable, and impossible to ignore. As sparks fly on chairlifts and by crackling fires, one snowstorm—and one bed—changes everything.⁣
⁣
Back in Toronto, however, reality sets in. Dating a guy—and being mistaken for straight—weren’t exactly part of Simone’s coming-out plan. As the pressure builds between the identity she’s just beginning to explore and the relationship that wasn’t supposed to happen, she starts to What if claiming one part of herself means erasing the other?⁣

Suspenseful, addictive, and twisty!⁣
⁣
In this twenty-third instalment in the Pendergast series, 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐒𝐓: 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆, we head back in time to 1990s New Orleans, when Agent Pendergast’s career in the FBI first began with a complex case involving a serial killer with a chilling fixation on right arms.⁣
⁣
The writing is taut and intense. The characters are meticulous, tormented, and persistent. And the plot is a suspenseful, engrossing whodunit full of twists, turns, lies, deception, revelations, obsession, depravity, violence, and murder, all interwoven with a dab of the supernatural.⁣
⁣
Overall, 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐒𝐓: 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 is an eerie, tortuous, fast-paced tale by Preston & Child that far exceeded my expectations and does an exceptional job of highlighting just how easily evil can live among us hidden behind masks of normality.⁣

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐂𝐇 is a rich, fascinating tale set in seventeenth-century Quebec that draws readers into the lives of Élisabeth and Marthe Jossard, two young sisters from Normandy who journey to New France in the hope of leaving behind their losses, secrets, and curses.⁣
⁣
The writing is eloquent and descriptive. The characters are resilient, layered, and compelling. And the story is an engaging blend of life, loss, hope, family, female friendship, betrayal, misfortune, witchcraft, and love.⁣
⁣⁣
Overall, 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐂𝐇 is a vivid, compelling, absorbing tale by Chevalier inspired by real-life events that sheds light on an often overlooked chapter of Canadian history and the struggles, resilience, and hardships of that time.⁣

𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐊 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 is a charming second-chance romance that draws you into the life of Roslyn, a floundering, grief-stricken woman reeling from the tragic loss of her mother and the decision to step away from her marriage until a trip to Hawaii with her extended family forces her to share a cabin with her husband and pretend to still be happily married.⁣

It’s the start of a chilly weekend here, so I’m going to spend it staying warm and finishing 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐆𝐔𝐘𝐒 by 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚, a compelling tale I am absolutely loving!⁣
⁣⁣
𝕊𝕐ℕ𝕆ℙ𝕊𝕀𝕊:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
  ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
From the bestselling author of The Boat People comes a page-turning moral drama about money, the dark side of philanthropy, and what happens when you try to change the world for all the wrong reasons.
⁣
They have the best of intentions. What could go wrong?⁣
⁣
Claire Talbot is the publicist at Children of the World, an international aid charity. Morally burnt out after decades working in reputation management, Claire is relieved to finally use her PR skills for good. Too bad the organization is on the verge of bankruptcy. In a last-ditch effort to keep them afloat, Claire arranges for an A-list actress to volunteer at one of their overseas orphanages. When the actress decides to adopt a baby and promises a massive donation, it seems as if Claire has single-handedly saved the day. But after a journalist digs into their operations and reveals a shocking crime, Claire and her colleagues must reckon with their complicity and all the ways their work abroad has harmed the very people they set out to save.
⁣
Moving between Children of the World’s headquarters in Toronto and their compound in Central America, Good Guys charts the charity’s rise and fall. Scathing yet compassionate, the novel is a thought-provoking exploration of power, philanthropy, and the lengths we go to for redemption. Emotionally engrossing, tightly paced, and sharply observed, it ultimately asks: Is it possible to do good in an imperfect world?⁣

Enthralling, sensual, and gritty!⁣
⁣
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫 is a spicy, seductive tale that plunges you into the dangerous world of ruggedly handsome Christopher Deville who, after heading to the notoriously perilous Wolf Hollow to pull off the biggest heist of his life, encounters a slight wrinkle in his plan when he collides with the merciless, viciously bad girl Calista Drache.⁣
⁣
The writing is titillating and intense. The characters are multilayered, obsessive, impulsive, and combustible. And the fast-paced, unapologetically salacious plot brims with danger, desire, drama, temptation, tenderness, mystique, scorching chemistry, deception, secrets, and a sizzling, high-stakes romance.⁣
 ⁣
I honestly don’t know how to fully convey how much I loved 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫. It completely blew me away. Exceptionally detailed, darkly intense, and wildly creative, this is a standout tale by Everhart featuring a vivid cast of quirky characters I absolutely devoured. It’s a highly recommended read and one which will undoubtedly remain one of my favourite books of 2026.
