Yours Truly, The Duke is the first novel in the historical romance Say I Do trilogy about dukes needing to wed to tap into their wealth by New York Times bestselling author Amelia Grey.

Fredericka Hale needs a husband, and fast. She’s been caring for her deceased sister’s three young children, and now a childless cousin has petitioned the court for custody. Fredericka is powerless to stop her, but having a husband might sway the ruling. The last thing Fredericka wants is a hurried-up marriage to a man she doesn’t know—much less love, but she’ll do it for the children. So when the handsome Duke of Wyatthaven shows up with a proposal, she accepts. He’ll help her, and in return, they’ll lead separate lives. But distance cannot keep them from their powerful attraction.

At the top of his game in London, the Duke of Wyatthaven has no interest in marriage. However, if Wyatt doesn’t marry by week’s end, he’ll lose a sizable inheritance from his grandmother. When Wyatt’s solicitor finds Miss Fredericka Hale, Wyatt considers this little hiccup solved. Miss Hale is lovely, and intelligent. Most importantly, she prefers country life to London, so he’s free to continue his life as usual. But when circumstances force Fredericka and the children to show up at the duke’s door, Wyatt can’t deny he’s always been under her spell. Will the duke give up his bachelor lifestyle and give into the fiery passion growing between them?

Review:

Entertaining, engaging, and romantic!

Yours Truly, The Duke is a passionate, playful tale that sweeps you away to England during the early nineteenth century and into the lives of the sweet, kind Fredericka Hale who may have just unexpectedly found the short-term solution to secure the custody of her nieces and nephews, and the roguishly handsome Duke of Wyatthaven who may have conveniently discovered the perfect woman to help him secure his substantial inheritance without having to give his heart away.

The prose is amusing and light. The characters are loyal, charming, and supportive. And the plot is an enchanting tale full of family, friendship, societal expectations, tricky situations, desire, trust, romance, and love.

Overall, Yours Truly, The Duke is another charming, seductive, delightful tale by Grey that is certainly an enjoyable, promising start to a series Say I Do I’m really looking forward to reading more of.

Henrietta doesn’t want a husband… Miss Henrietta Tweed is convinced that she carries a curse―one that’s responsible for killing her previous guardians. So when she’s sent to Lucien Trent Blakewell, the fifth Duke of Blakewell and the last man her father trusted to care for her, she knows the only way to save the duke is to persuade him to sign over her inheritance and set her free.

Does she? Lucien doesn’t believe there’s a curse and just wants to get his new ward off his hands by finding her a suitable husband. But as the chemistry between him and Henrietta grows, he is increasingly tempted to fill that role himself. And when suspicious accidents begin to endanger the Duke’s life, Henrietta must take drastic measures to save the one man she could love…

Review:

Spirited, alluring, and witty!

A Duke to Die For is set in London during the early 1800s and features the bold, feisty,   Henrietta Tweed who after her previous five guardians have passed, possibly due to a childhood curse, finds herself under the care and the ward of the roguishly handsome, fifth Duke of Blakewell, Lucien Trent.

The prose is authentic and mischievous. The characters are confident, daring, and endearing. And the plot is an amusing blend of mystique, attraction, regency lifestyle, desire, yearning, gossip, tricky situations, danger, and titillating romance.

Overall, A Duke to Die For is adventurous, enticing, and delightfully steamy. It’s the first book in The Rogues’ Dynasty series by Grey and is a wonderful choice for anyone who enjoys the historical romance genre.

She had an acceptable marriage of convenience. Now widowed, can this determined and beautiful mother find true and forever love?

The sinking of the Salty Dove took her husband’s life―but it didn’t drown Julia Fairbright’s courage to endure. She creates a proper life for herself and her young son. But now, the ton’s most notorious rogue is back in London, and how he makes Julia feel is anything but proper. She can’t deny the desires he awakens in her, even though she knows that the handsome devil will surely break her heart.

Garrett Stockton owns a successful shipping company and is rumored to have a woman on every continent and half-a-dozen in England. The truth, however, is that Garrett has but one mistress: the wide open sea. That is, until he meets Julia, whose spirit of independence matches his own. What begins as a flirtatious battle of wits turns far more passionate than either of them could have imagined. Suddenly, Garrett’s only desire is to sail into the sunset with Julia as his wife and young Chatwyn his son. But she won’t take his hand―how can he convince her that his love is real and his heart is hers?

Review:

Enticing, witty, and seductive!

Gone With the Rogue is set in London during the early 1800s and features the independent, spirited widow, Julia Fairbright and the dashingly handsome, womanizer, Garrett Stockton as they navigate undeniable attraction, a mystery involving scandalous businesses and encrypted documents, and an overbearing, controlling, powerful father-in-law.

The prose is engaging and light. The characters are resolute, focused, and passionate. And the plot is a push-pull tale of familial drama, scoundrel behaviour, mystique, admiration, chemistry, friendship, tricky mishaps, danger, and steamy romance.

Overall, Gone With the Rogue is a fervent, amusing, alluring read by Grey that is an enjoyable, solid addition to the First Comes Love series.
