⏱️ Happy Thursday, Bookworms!        Thank you so much to the lovely @pgcbooks for gifting me a copy of 𝐕𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐃 by 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣                ℝ𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕖𝕨:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣                Atmospheric, absorbing, and intriguing!    𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝 is a mysterious, engaging tale that takes us back to Edinburgh during 1853 and into the lives of both Dr Will Raven, who finds a reprieve from family life when he is called to Surgeon’s Hall regarding the discovery of a severed foot and a missing professor, and Sarah Fisher who after stumbling into the world of mesmerism temporarily contemplates specializing in the field when her frustration over the fact her gender will never allow her to become the qualified doctor she wishes be has her looking for something more.    The prose is tense and tight. The characters are determined, reliable, and loyal. And the plot is a menacing tale full of twists, turns, revelations, insecurities, life, duty, friendship, misdirection, trickery, and murder.    Overall, 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝 is another complex, sophisticated, perilous tale in the 𝘙𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯, 𝘍𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘚𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘴𝘰𝘯 series by the Parry duo that does a wonderful job of interweaving historical facts and compelling fiction into a suspenseful mystery that is not only captivating but highly entertaining.       ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: 🌟🌟🌟🌟         ❓Is there one book you’re still determined to read before the end of the year?     #VoicesoftheDead #RavenFisherSimpsonSeries #AmbroseParry #PGCBooks #historicalmysterybooks
📭 Happy Wednesday!⁣ ⁣ Today for #WHATSNEWWE 📭 Happy Wednesday!⁣ ⁣ Today for #WHATSNEWWEDNESDAY I wanted to share this fantastic package I received from the wonderful @robertbryndza ⁣ 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐧𝐝𝐳𝐚 is one of those authors that writes complex, gripping stories that suck you in from start to finish and juicy characters you can never get enough of. I’ve been a huge fan (and not in the creepy Stephen King way) since 2016 and will continue to be so for as long as he decides to pen more novels. If you haven’t had a chance to read one of his books yet, I highly recommend you do.⁣ Not only is he an amazing author, but an amazingly generous human being. I don’t know how I managed to get on the short list of influencers he works with, but I am truly honoured. Keep your eye out for the next instalment in the Erika Foster series, 𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐋 𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄, publishing in hardback on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒! Thank you so much Rob and Jan. I hope you have a lovely Christmas and wonderful New Year! ⁣ #𝐐𝐎𝐓𝐃 Do you have any authors you absolutely adore and must read all their novels?⁣ #RobertBryndza #LethalVengeance #ErikaFosterseries #thrillerbooks

The characters are strong, compassionate, and endearing. And the plot is a heart-wrenching, absorbing tale of life, love, friendship, kindness, honesty, acceptance, generosity, romance, humour, introspection, and loss.    Overall, 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐈’𝐦 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐞 is a reflective, touching, bittersweet tearjerker by McLaughlin that does a remarkable job of reminding us of what’s truly important in life and highlighting the sheer power of love.  ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣   ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: 🌟🌟🌟🌟⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣🌟⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣  ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣   ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣   ❓What are some things that would be on your bucket list?   ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣   ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣   #BeforeImGone #HeidiMcLaughlin #Montlake #FireflyDist #womensfiction #contemporaryromance

The contestants are suitably glamorous and dramatic—and they’re also hungry to prove themselves. The stakes are high and with millions of viewers watching, losing is not an option. But three weeks and eighteen episodes later, five of the six contestants sit in a Portuguese police station, and none of them are winners.    Because twelve million people were watching when Rhys Sutton died on camera, and someone must pay for the crime.    The best friend, the rival, the girlfriend, the lover, and the sworn enemy are left standing. And of course, no-one is talking. But how do you keep secrets when the world has been watching? Especially when, just a day before his murder, Rhys was the most hated man on television.  ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣    𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐰!⁣⁣⁣⁣     #ThenThingsWentDark #BeaFitzgerald #bookmarkedbylandmark #coverreveal
📖 𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐋𝐘 𝐑𝐄 📖 𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐋𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 📖    Thank you so much to the lovely @bullypress for this gifted copy. I hope everyone is having a great start to their week. I can’t believe that we’re already into the first week of December. Where has the time gone? This year seems to have flown by. I’m currently about 25% into LI JUN by Travis Myers & Natasha Myers Marsiguerra. This is the fourth novel in the Tommy Keane series, and as I enjoyed the previous three novels, I can’t wait to see how this latest one unfolds.   𝕊𝕪𝕟𝕠𝕡𝕤𝕚𝕤:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣    A woman is dead, it's a grim crime scene, her body hanging over a wrought iron fence. The question of course is how did this happen, did she jump from the open window three stories above where she now hangs? Or was she thrown to her death by one of the nine possible suspects who fled the building just as the police arrived? Tommy makes a promise to find the answer. It turns out to be one of the most dangerous commitments of his career. ⁣⁣⁣  #LiJun #TommyKeaneSeries #BullyPress #thriller  #TravisMyers #NatashaMyersMarsiguerra   ❓ How was your weekend? Online), the New York Times bestselling author of The Summer of Songbirds and the Peachtree Bluff series presents a tender and touching novel about a young woman who discovers the family she has always longed for when she spends a life-changing summer in North Carolina.      Present Day: Keaton Smith is desperate for a fresh start. So when her mother needs someone to put her childhood home in Beaufort, North Carolina, on the market—the home that Keaton didn’t know existed until now—she jumps at the chance to head south. But the moment she steps foot inside the abandoned house, she’s confronted with secrets about grandparents who died in a car accident before she was born. And as she gets to know her charming next-door neighbor, his precocious ten-year-old son, and a flock of endearingly feisty town busybodies, she soon finds she has more questions than answers.      1976: After meeting her adoring husband Townsend, Rebecca “Becks” Saint James abandoned the life she knew and never looked back. Forty years later, she’s made a name for herself as the best hostess North Carolina has ever seen. Her annual summer suppers have become the stuff of legend, and locals and out-of-towners alike clamor for an invitation to her stunning historic home. But she’s struggling behind the façade. Becks strives to make the lives of those around her as easy as possible, but this summer she is facing a dilemma that even she can’t solve. And as the end of the season looms, she is brought to a decision she never wanted to make.      As both Keaton and Becks face new challenges and chapters, they are connected through time by the house on Sunset Lane, which has protected the secrets, hopes, and dreams of the women in their family for generations. For fans of Summer of ‘69 and The Notebook, A Happier Life explores the power of family, the bonds of friendship, and the boundless nature of love.
