Sassy, amusing, and unpredictable!
Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun is a mysterious, captivating read that transports you back into the lives of romantic suspense author and mother of two Finlay Donovan and her partner in crime Veronica Ruiz as they find themselves once again reluctantly messed up in the world of crime when Russian mobster Feliks Zhirov continues to pressure them to identity the online contractor killer EasyClean before his case goes to trial and their amateur sleuthing leads them to a member of the Fairfax County PD and a placement in the citizen’s police academy run by the delectable Detective Nicholas Anthony.
The prose is light and fun. The characters are stressed, resourceful, and clumsy. And the plot is a spirited, action-packed tale full of life, love, family, friendship, parenthood, lies, secrets, tricky situations, humorous hijinks, danger, and a dab of romance.
Overall, Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun is another cute, comical, outlandish addition to the Finlay Donovan series by Cosimano that had just the right amount of zany antics and entertaining storyline to keep me engaged and laughing from start to finish.
