Author: Jo McNally

Jo McNally lives in coastal North Carolina with 100 pounds of dog and 200 pounds of husband – her slice of the bed is very small. When she’s not writing or reading romance novels (or clinging to the edge of the bed…), she can often be found on the back porch sipping wine with friends, listening to great music. If the weather is absolutely perfect, she’ll occasionally join her husband on the golf course, where she always feels far more competitive than her actual skill-level would suggest.

Mike is torn. Funny, down-to-earth Zoey in her flannel shirts and messy ponytail always seems so in control…until she melts into his arms. But he won’t come between Zoey and her daughter. They’ll just keep it casual. No drama. No feelings. No messiness. What could go wrong?

But the meddling, matchmaking book club won’t be denied. They may not have set them up, but they recognize a perfect match when they see one. And they’re determined to help Zoey see what’s been right in front of her for so long…

In Lost in Love, single mom Andrea will do anything to make the fall festival a success…even ask the town bad boy for his help.

Review:

Engaging, heartfelt, and fun!

When Sparks Fly is an alluring, tender, friends-to-lovers romance that transports you to the idyllic Rendezvous Falls and into the lives of the reliable, handsome Mike McKinnon and the hardworking, single mother Zoey Hartford as they discover that even though they’ve been the best of friends forever perhaps there’s a little something more underneath that’s worth taking a chance on.

The writing is light and playful. The characters are supportive, kind, and genuine. And the plot is an entertaining, amusing mix of friendship, family, community, responsibilities, parenthood, snappy banter, undeniable chemistry, humorous moments, small-town antics, and unconditional love.

Overall, When Sparks Fly is a sexy, sweet, uplifting tale by McNally with characters I couldn’t help but fall in love with, a charming storyline that kept me engaged from start to finish, and a happy-ever-after ending that made me swoon.

It’s never too late for a second chance…

Tonight should be the best night of Lucy Higgins’s life. Tomorrow she’s finally marrying Owen Cooper. She’s been waiting to start a life of wedded bliss, like the happy marriage her parents have. Except…she just learned her parents are divorcing and she’s freaking out. Owen has been so distant lately, shutting her out. Suddenly this big wedding seems like a really bad idea. Packing up her car, Lucy bolts for Rendezvous Falls and finds work at a flower shop while she gets her life together. The last thing she expects is for Owen to show up, wanting her back.

Owen Cooper’s carefully planned out life is ready to begin. He’s home from the military to join the family business and marry the sweet girl who captured his heart…until Lucy runs out on him. That was not part of the plan. Armed with an article that promises to help him win her back, Owen heads to Rendezvous Falls. But from the moment he sees her again, she seems…different. Happier, more confident and at ease. Can he convince this new version of Lucy that he’s become the man she deserves? He might need a little help from the local book club to accomplish this mission…

Review:

Amusing, heartwarming, and charming!

Love Blooms is a lighthearted, emotive, second-chance romance that takes you into the life of the confused, stressed-out Lucy Higgins, who after fleeing the church on her wedding day, stops trying to please everyone else, rediscovers passions long forgotten, finds a new place to call home, and works with the one man she left at the altar and who is willing to do whatever it takes to win her back to rediscover happiness, passion, their best selves, and a life they both deserve.

The writing is genuine and fluid. The characters are kind, attentive, and authentic. And the plot is a heartfelt, uplifting blend of friendship, family, introspection, drama, community, tricky situations, romantic gestures, unconditional love, and new beginnings.

Overall, Love Blooms is a big-hearted, engaging, cosy tale by McNally that is another wonderful addition to the Rendezvous Falls series with characters you can’t help but root for and a happy-ever-after ending that leaves you smiling, satisfied, and ready for more.

With a little luck, this fake engagement just might become the real deal…

Bridget McKinnon would do anything for her feisty ailing grandma Maura. She’ll even stay close to home and serve up green beer in the Purple Shamrock instead of pursuing her own culinary dreams. But money’s tight. So when a stranger with a sexy brogue asks about the apartment she’s renting out, Bridget hopes she’s landed a little piece of Irish luck…only to find she’s knee-deep in a crazy plan that’s turning her life upside down.

College professor Finn O’Hearn needs this job in Rendezvous Falls—his visa may depend on it. If he can convince his beautiful but tightly wound landlord to be his pretend fiancée, his boss will be happy—as will Bridget’s matchmaking grandma and her meddling book club. Finn and Bridget fool (almost) everyone with their sizzling glances and toe-curling kisses…even as they tell themselves it’s only make-believe.

Playing a part has never been so easy. But when love is real, it’s time to find the courage to start playing by heart…

Review:

Romantic, humourous, and sentimental!

Barefoot on a Starlit Night is an amusing, sweet, steamy tale featuring the competent, hardworking Bridget, and the sceptical, heartbroken Finn as they discover that there may be more to their relationship than just pretence, convenience, and fake feelings.

The writing is honest and light. The characters are endearing, fun-loving, and supportive. And the plot is a delightful mix of life, love, family, friendship, patience, understanding, palpable attraction, scorching chemistry, tender moments, nostalgia, and small-town living.

Barefoot on a Starlit Night is the third title in the Rendezvous Falls series, and once again McNally has written a heartwarming, engaging, satisfying tale with just the right amount of hope, heart, humour, and heat to keep you yearning for a little more.

But when rugged biker Logan Taggart strolls into the inn where she’s working, she can’t help but stare. He has bad boy written all over him. And with two kids relying on her, that’s the last thing she needs this Christmas.

Rendezvous Falls is nothing but a pit stop for Logan. Once his grandmother is back on her feet and ready to reclaim the inn, Logan can get back on the road. It’s where he belongs, even if his grandmother’s matchmaking book club try to convince him otherwise. Still, there’s something about beautiful spitfire Piper that makes him wonder if family and forever might just be what he needs after all.

But as the holidays draw ever closer, so do Piper and Logan. Could these polar opposites find that all they want this Christmas is each other

Review:

Heartfelt, jolly, and sweet!

Stealing Kisses in the Snow is an amusing, tender tale that takes us back to Rendezvous Falls and into the life of the hardworking, kindhearted Piper Montgomery as she meanders through all sorts of highs and lows, from losing her husband, raising two kids alone, grieving in-laws, unexpectedly running the inn, and an undeniable attraction to Iris’s mysterious, yet devilishly handsome grandson who suddenly arrives to lend a hand.

The prose is effortless and light. The characters are focused, independent, and lonely. And the plot is an alluring tale about loss, life, love, grit, family, friendship, community, wintery shenanigans, self-discovery, moving on, and finding that special place to call home.

Overall, Stealing Kisses in the Snow is another charming, uplifting, entertaining tale by McNally that is perfect for anyone who enjoys a holiday romance that’s not only heartwarming but also funny.

Welcome to Rendezvous Falls, New York, where love is where you least expect it…

When accountant Whitney Foster’s carefully calculated life blows up, she escapes to the one place that’s always felt like home. But Rendezvous Falls has changed since she’s been away. Her aunt Helen’s winery is in trouble. And she doesn’t trust the sexy, surly stranger working the vineyard as far as she can throw him.

Luke Rutledge would do anything for Helen, who’s been like a mother to him. Revive the winery? Sure. Repair her property? No problem. Tolerate Helen’s infuriating, big-shot niece? Well…maybe. But as he and Whitney are forced to work together to rebuild the business, her chilly facade reveals a woman as complex and intoxicating as a fine merlot. Throw in a matchmaking book club hell-bent on happily-ever-after and it’s a potent cocktail.

Love should never be calculated. But it doesn’t take Whitney’s math skills to see that this is adding to up to one tantalizing adventure…

Review:

Light, winsome, and engaging!

Slow Dancing at Sunrise is a sweet, humorous, enemies-to-more romance featuring the independent, feisty Whitney and the confident, hardworking, winemaker Luke as they discover that even though they got off to a rocky start, in the end, they might just be perfect for each other.

The prose is passionate and witty. The characters are quirky, charming, meddling, and endearing. And the plot is an enchanting tale of undeniable attraction, sizzling chemistry, awkward moments, genuine emotion, playful banter, community, friendship, family, romance, and winemaking.

Overall, Slow Dancing at Sunrise is a spirited, easy, delightful read by McNally that’s without a doubt a promising start for this new Rendezvous Falls series.
