I’ll Be Watching You is a charged, passionate tale that takes you into the lives of two main characters. Jessica, an intelligent, young woman with a troubled past who seems to have become the target of a malicious killer, and Reece a Hollywood actor turned director with a checkered past of his own who’s determined to protect those he cares about at any cost.

The writing is crisp and sultry. The characters are secretive, committed, and resourceful. And the plot is a twisty, engaging mix of friendship, family, obsession, jealousy, instant attraction, smoking chemistry, smouldering tension, sexy times, and violence.

Overall, I’ll Be Watching You is an enticing, sensual, fast-paced tale by Kelly that has everything you look for in a romantic suspense novel and more.

Uplifting, heartwarming, and romantic!

All I Ask is a delightfully charming, emotional novel set on Chincoteague Island, VA that takes us into the lives of two main characters; Teagan, a young mother who after falling pregnant in college has spent the last decade struggling to make ends meet, ignoring small-town gossip, and enduring the heartache of losing her best friend, and Derek, a loving father who after unexpectedly losing his wife returns home where ten years earlier he not only left behind his best friend but also his heart.

The writing is emotive and warm. The characterization is spot on with a cast of characters that are multilayered, brokenhearted, and endearing. And the plot is an irresistible blend of friendship, familial tension, heart, hope, grit, attraction, chemistry, miscommunication, tender moments, and enduring love.

Overall, All I Ask is a poignant, sweet, enchanting tale by Michaels that I absolutely devoured, highly recommend, and is without a doubt one of my favourite reads of the year!

The writing is smooth and seductive. The characters are hesitant, headstrong, and loyal. And the plot is a well-paced, alluring tale of temptation, desire, danger, deception, mystique, devotion, romance, palpable attraction, and sizzling chemistry.

Overall, Unforgiven is another provocative, intriguing, menacing addition to the Loveless, Texas series by Crownover that has just the right amount of steam and suspense to keep you engaged from start to finish and a cliffhanger ending that will leave you eager for more.

The prose is eloquent and insightful. The characters, including all the supporting characters, are strong, compassionate, and endearing. And the plot is an absorbing, heart-wrenching tale of life, love, family, friendship, kindness, honesty, acceptance, generosity, romance, humour, introspection, and loss.

Overall, Photos of You is a moving, reflective, bittersweet tearjerker by Robinson that does a remarkable job of reminding us of what’s truly important in life and highlighting the sheer power of love.

Starlight Bridge is a playful, heartwarming, second-chance romance that transports you to Greystone Manor and into the life of the handsome, confident Grant who still can’t quite understand what actually went wrong in his first marriage and the troubled, hardworking Ava who is on an all-consuming mission to find the late Matriarch’s hidden journal that contains the one secret she never wants to be known.

The writing is heartfelt and light. The characters are troubled, secretive, quirky, and kind. And the plot told from alternating POVs is an engaging mix of family, friction, friendship, miscommunication, self-reflection, oddball situations, hilarious hijinks, attraction, chemistry, enduring love, and a dash of the paranormal.

Overall, Starlight Bridge is a comical, hopeful, entertaining tale by Mason that is a delightful mix of sweet romance, familial drama, and mystical mayhem.

Forever Friends is a lighthearted, engaging tale that takes you on a journey to the idyllic Cranberry Cove and into the lives of the middle-aged, single Renee and the frazzled, young mother Sadie as they discover together the importance of taking chances, finding contentment, discovering one’s true self, and embracing the future.

The prose is fluid and smooth. The characters are kind, supportive, authentic, and endearing. And the plot is a sweet, compelling tale about life, love, family, friendship, communication, self-discovery, happiness, and romance.

Overall, I would have to say that Forever Friends is an emotive, thoughtful, cosy read by Mackenzie that does a beautiful job of reminding us just how important, powerful, and meaningful female friendships can truly be.

Down Too Deep is a deliciously charming, uplifting tale that introduces us to the grieving, workaholic, restauranteur Nathan and the kindhearted, dependable, single mother Jenna as they discover the power of friendship, the pull of attraction, and the benefits of being a team.

The writing is humorous and light. The characters are solid, supportive, and endearing. And the plot is an enticing, engaging mix of life, loss, family, palpable chemistry, tender moments, irresistible heat, parenthood, and real-life relationship struggles.

Overall, Down Too Deep is an amusing, sweet, passionate novel by Daniels that has all the characteristics you look for in a romcom, including an engaging storyline, a wonderful cast of characters, with a supporting cast that might even steal the show, and a dreamy, happy-ever-after ending.

Review:

Emotional, enchanting and sweetly romantic!

This is a second chance romance that combines the pompous, rich Bentley and the lonely, scarred Margot in a well-crafted plot full of entertaining hijinks, deep introspection, exquisite tension, palpable chemistry, sexy innuendoes and unconditional love.

The characters, including a whole slew of meddling supporting characters are intriguing, likeable, funny and well-developed.  And the writing use a past/present style to create an engaging, lighthearted tale about letting go, being brave and learning to trust that will definitely leaving you smiling by the end.

Once again Van Dyken has written a modern-day fairy tale that has a lot of heart and has the handsome prince not only bringing the beautiful princess back to life but finally getting the girl he let slip away.
